  • Color of one or all teeth
  • Uneven appearance of teeth
  • Shape of one or more teeth
  • Gaps between front or back teeth
  • Previous dental work which is not flattering anymore
  •

Who is eligible for the treatment?

Smile design treatment is recommended for those with oral problems like tooth decay, tooth loosening, plaque deposition, weak gums etc. People lose confidence and peace of mind because of these problems. People who suffer from problems such as crooked or protruded teeth, broken or chippedtooth, gum bleeding, dark patches on the gum, stained or discolored teeth etc. usually undergo a smile design treatment.

What types of treatments are available at Floss Dental?

We offer a wide range of treatments that are designed to improve the appearance of your teeth while maintaining the desired functionality. Some of the common procedures include:

  • Bonding and Veneers

Dental Bonding and Veneers are used to not only fix cavities or broken teeth but also used to improve the appearance of your teeth by changing their color, shape, angle or shaping.

What is bonding? How is it different from veneers?

Bonding or bonded restoration is used to make minor repairs to teeth using tooth-colored material called composite resin. Veneers are thin shells of porcelain or composite resin that are attached to the entire front part of teeth.

Do I need Bonding or Veneers?

If you have teeth that are broken, chipped or cracked, or teeth that are discolored or have spaces between them, your dentist might suggest that you get bonding or veneers.

What will be the duration of my treatment?

Your prosthodontist will be able to bond several teeth in one visit depending on your need. On the other hand, porcelain veneers take at least 2 dental visits to be properly applied while composite resin veneers can be applied in 1 visit.

  • Teeth Whitening

Eating, drinking, smoking, and ageing all have a direct impact on your teeth in the form of staining. Whiter and brighter teeth are often a source of confidence for our patients and improve the appearance of your smile.

Do I need Teeth Whitening?

Although your teeth are not meant to be naturally completely white, it is possible that you might want a brighter smile. Teeth whitening through bleaches or surface whiteners will be an ideal choice for you if you want a lighter shade of teeth or are affected by accumulation of surface stains due to use of tobacco products.

What will be the duration of my treatment?

The process of whitening begins with a teeth cleaning that is necessary to prepare your teeth. Your dentist will also photograph your teeth so that you can see the progress and difference after the treatment. Post this whitening process will begin and usually takes approximately 30-45 minutes depending on the severity of stains on your teeth. After the treatment, your results will last for approximately 1 year with proper care and oral hygiene.

Potential Problems with Teeth Whitening

• If the teeth whitening procedure does not result in the shade of white patient were hoping for, a follow-up visit is arranged.

• Sensitivity in teeth is usually felt after an in-office whitening treatment as opposed to an at-home treatment because of the higher concentration of the bleach. Whitening sensitivity does not last longer than a couple of days after treatment.

What is LASER Teeth Whitening?

It is a whitening technique in which a beam of diode laser, which is intended to accelerate the process of bleaching, is projected upon the teeth with bleaching agent on them. This activates the bleaching chemical and lightens the teeth color. Laser whitening is more effective in teeth whitening compared to other procedures.

  • Fillings

Your dentist may recommend a dental filling when there is decay in a tooth. Regular dental checkups will help your dentist warn you of early signs of cavity that can be dealt with fluoride therapy and better oral hygiene.

What will be the duration of my treatment?

Getting a filling is not a long procedure and your dentist will be able to complete the process in about 20-30 minutes. A dental filling may last for 10-20 years depending on the material of the filling and how well you care for your filling.
